BIBLE STUDY AND DISCUSSION ­– 2 p.m. March 7 and 21
Members of the congregation said they benefited so much from the discussions held last October and at the Lay Witness weekend in November that meetings have now begun in the Plaice on Monday afternoons. To
begin with, we are studying Martyn Atkins’ book “Discipleship and the People Called Methodists”. This is aimed at Christians of all persuasions, and points out that Christians are simply people who want to become better followers of Jesus. We hope that by meeting together informally we can learn from one another and help each other to do just that.
Whether you want to express your views or simply to listen, you will be very welcome. There are still some copies of the book in the display stand in the foyer, so you can take one and read it at home beforehand.
It looks as if the first and third Mondays in the month may suit the people who came to the first meeting. If these don’t suit you, why not agree with a few others to meet at a different time? Margaret Burchel
