Are you missing something?

YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT YOU’RE MISSING!

Every Wednesday evening, at 5.30 p.m., a wonderful sense of peace descends on St. Andrew's. There begins a whole hour of restorative, healing, uplifting peace, to give calm to the soul.

It’s called “Sanctuary”. It was begun to offer a place of quiet at the end of a busy day to people coming home on the Metro from work and passing our church. A board still goes out every Wednesday evening, inviting in anyone who wants to come. Sadly, hardly anyone ever has, but we continue to be faithful in offering this quiet space.

And YOU could share in it. You don’t have to stay the whole hour. You don’t have to get there for the beginning. From 5.30 till 6, there is just quiet – sometimes with music in the background, sometimes not. Time and space to read, think, pray or just sit and unwind.

From 6 till 6.30, there’s a quiet, reflective service led by someone different each week. Each person brings to it their own special thing – what God has led them to.

Why not come along to St. Andrew’s some Wednesday, any time between 5.30 and 6.30 p.m., and experience this special thing called “Sanctuary”?                                                                                             Peter Rand
